While the idea of photographers capturing the studios of artists is nothing new, this work explores the studio of a deceased painter whose space remains untouched. The open door serves as portal into the space that clearly defines what has been preserved. The broken glass on the floor, the cigarettes left in the ashtray, and the layer of dust give the room a stagnant feeling. The dust and scratches in the film were intentionally left in order to mimic and echo the untouched feeling of the place.
